Leenie Book 1 "The Mill River Recluse" by Darcie Chan

I would give this book 2 stars and would not recommend. I was in the mood to read a mysteries and it sounded like a small town, deep down secret hiding type of a book. But turned out to be very predictable.

Leenie book 2: "Unbroken A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand"

Let me start by saying this book has a 4.5 star rating on Amazon by 1,984 People. Unbroken is a true story about Louie Zamperini an Olympic runner who live to tell the story of surviving after joining the US Air Force his plane crashed into the ocean were he and two other men floated in shark infested waters for over a month to only be held captive in a Japanese POW camp for years.

The book is long, goes into a lot of detail and can at times be repetitive but in the end I’m happy I did manage to finish. It’s an amazing story of what one man was able to live though and a window of what it must of been like for many of our US citizens during the war. I would expect to see this made in to a movie soon and I’ll be in line for a ticket for sure.

Leenie book 3: Game of Thrones by George Martin

this book is long and details but if you like Lord of the Rings or Mist of Avalon this is your type of book. It's a story about Love, war, honor and Betrayal. I could not put it down, it kept my up at night and missing my stop on the train.

It's one of those

Leenie book 4: This House: The true story of a girl and a ghost by Amelia Cotter

This book was a letdown, wasn’t what I expected after reading the reviews. Not something I would recommend. It was not scary and although claims to be a true story doesn’t come off as one.

Leenie book 5: Breadcrumbs by Anne Urse and Erin McGuire

This is the story that all of us wished happened to us, as children we read fairytales dreaming to be a part of a world with knights, witches and potions. Well that’s exactly what happens to Hazel when she goes after her best friend Jack into the magical woods near their home.

But beware it’s a children’s book, but very well written and over 300 pages.

Leenie Book 6: Switched by Amanda Hocking

I'm totally hooked can't wait for Torn the 2nd book in the Trylle Trilogy to come out on Feb 28th.
The style is similar to Hunger Games so if you enjoyed those books I think you won’t be disappointed in this one.

Leenie book 7: Carry yourself back to me by Deborah Reed

I loved this book I was sucked right in, could not put the book down something about the authors writing style I loved. At the end of every chapter I was left feeling like I knew and understood the characters and didn't want it to end.

Leenie book 8: A small Fortune by Audrey Braun

This is one of those simple novels you can’t put down once you pick it up, you just want to know where it’s going and what’s going to happen. It’s twisting plot includes murder, kidnapping and love leaving you with a lusty romance crime page turner.

This is a free Amazon Prime book

Leenie's book #13

Accidentally on Purpose by Mary Pols

Here's a memoir about a woman in her late 30s without a mate, but still managed to beat her biological clock by getting pregnant at 39 by a cute 29-year-old named Matt at a bar, the author, the youngest of a large Catholic family from Maine, resolved to make a go at single motherhood.
